Overview

SparkSync is a video-first dating app. We take your privacy seriously — especially because our service includes face verification and live video. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

• Account details: email address and display name.
• Profile content: name, age, bio, interests, location, profile photo.
• Face image: a single image captured during verification to confirm you are a real person.
• Intro video: the short video you record for your profile.
• Call metadata: call start/end times and duration. Live video is peer-to-peer between participants and is not recorded or stored by SparkSync.
• Messages: text chats sent after a pair mutually unlocks messaging.
• Activity: matches, passes, blocks, and reports you create.

Face Verification & Biometrics

We use a face image solely to verify that you are a real person and to deter fake profiles. The image is reviewed for the presence of a human face and a verification record is stored. We do not use your face image for any other purpose and we do not build biometric templates for tracking or identification across services.

How We Use Your Information

To operate the service (matching, calls, messaging), to verify identity, to keep the community safe through moderation and reports, to send you service notifications, and to improve the app.

Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile page, which removes your profile, matches, messages, and call history.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. Profile content is shown to other users for matching. We may share information where required by law or to protect the safety of our community.

Your Rights

You can access, correct, or delete your data. Update your profile in the app, or delete your account from the Profile page to erase your information. For requests, contact hello@sparksync.app.

Eligibility

SparkSync is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
